Transporting fine art requires precision, care, and expertise. This policy outlines our dedicated procedures for safely delivering fragile, often irreplaceable, artworks globally.

1. Order Processing, Creation, & Curing Time

  • Artistic Creation & Processing: 10-25 business days. This period is essential for the artistic process, proper oil paint curing (which cannot be accelerated), professional canvas stretching, optional framing, and our multi-point quality inspection.
  • Order Verification: We confirm all artistic and logistical details (dimensions, orientation, framing choices) shortly after order placement.
  • Modifications & Cancellations: Contact 3899448161@qq.com within 12 hours of placing your order. Once the artist begins work or materials are allocated, the order becomes final and cannot be altered or canceled.

2. Global Destinations & Specialized Shipping Methods
We deliver to most countries worldwide, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, European Union nations, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore.

We exclusively use professional, art-handling shipping services:

  • Standard Curated Shipping: 18-35 business days post-dispatch. Artworks are secured in custom-built, rigid “picture boxes” or crates with climate-conscious buffers.
  • Expedited Gallery Shipping: 10-22 business days post-dispatch. This premium service includes prioritized logistics, enhanced tracking, and often climate-controlled transport for sensitive pieces.

These estimates commence from the date of dispatch from our studio. International customs inspections of art crates can introduce significant, unpredictable delays beyond our control.

3. Shipping Cost Structure

  • Shipping costs are calculated in real-time at checkout based on destination country, artwork dimensions, weight, crate type, and selected service level.
  • Due to the high cost of specialized art logistics, we do not offer blanket free shipping on original paintings.
  • Expedited Gallery Shipping is available for an additional premium, quoted during checkout.

4. Customs, Duties, Taxes, & Cultural Heritage Regulations

  • The importer (customer) is solely and fully responsible for all customs duties, value-added taxes (VAT), goods and services taxes (GST), import fees, and any applicable brokerage charges.
  • Fine art can be subject to unique tariff classifications and potentially higher duty rates. It is the customer’s responsibility to research their country’s specific regulations for importing “original paintings” or “art reproductions.”
  • We declare the full commercial value on all customs documentation as required by international law. We cannot under-declare values or mislabel contents.

5. Our Professional Packing Protocol
Each artwork is prepared by our specialist packing team:

  • Paintings are never rolled (unless specifically sold as an unstretched canvas). They are stretched on kiln-dried wooden stretcher bars.
  • The painted surface is shielded with acid-free, glassine paper.
  • Custom-cut foam board corners are fitted, and the piece is wrapped in several layers of premium, anti-static bubble wrap.
  • The protected artwork is then placed inside a custom-fitted, double-walled cardboard art box or a lightweight wooden crate for oversized pieces.
  • Framed artworks receive additional reinforcement on the frame corners and glass/plexiglass (if applicable).

6. Tracking & In-Transit Communication

  • A professional shipping notification with tracking link and carrier details is emailed upon dispatch.
  • For high-value shipments (>$1,000 USD), we may provide additional mid-transit updates.
  • If the tracking information shows no movement or updates for 25 consecutive business days (Standard) or 15 business days (Expedited), please contact us.

7. Delivery, Receipt, & Transfer of Responsibility

  • You must provide a physical address where someone can accept and inspect a large, heavy, and fragile package during business hours. PO Boxes are not acceptable.
  • Dealstation is not liable for delays, theft, or damage resulting from incorrect/incomplete addresses, inaccessible delivery locations, or recipient unavailability.
  • Legal responsibility and risk of loss for the artwork transfer to you (the customer) upon the carrier’s recorded delivery and signature.
  • Crucial: If the external shipping box shows any visible damage (dents, punctures, water stains), note this in detail on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing. Take photographs of the box condition immediately.

8. Resolution Process for Shipping Issues
Lost or Stalled Shipments:

  • Contact us if the tracking shows no activity for over 35 business days (Standard) or 25 business days (Expedited).
  • We will initiate a formal trace and investigation with the carrier. International freight claims are complex and can take 8-14 weeks for resolution.

Damage Discovered During Unpacking:

  • Document the unboxing process. Photograph the external box from all sides before opening.
  • Unpack carefully in a clean, spacious area. Photograph each layer of packing material and the revealed artwork.
  • Report the issue to 3899448161@qq.com within 96 hours (4 days) of delivery. Include all photographic documentation and a description.
  • We will guide you through the carrier’s insurance claim procedure. Final resolution is subject to the carrier’s investigation and approval.
